Rotimi Akeredolu, a Senior Advocate of Nigeria, is a Nigerian lawyer who is the current Governor of Ondo State, Nigeria. He became president of the Nigerian Bar Association in 2008.
Mr. Akeredolu was also a Managing Partner at the law firm of Olujinmi and Akeredolu, which he co-founded with Chief Akin Olujinmi, a former Attorney General and Minister for Justice in Nigeria.
He attended the University of Ife (now Obafemi Awolowo University) to study Law, graduating in 1977. He was called to the Nigerian Bar 1978. Mr. Akeredolu was appointed Attorney General of Ondo State from 1997–1999. In 1998. He was Chairman of the Legal Aid Council (2005–2006).
Internationally known as a lawyer with exceptional skills and fitness, he is also a reputable social crusader and human right activist. Mr. Akeredolu is a veteran of countless campaigns for leadership integrity, political freedom, equal rights and justice in Nigeria.
